Signature Gathering Events

On August 20, 2025, the City Council directed staff to return with an ordinance repealing Ordinance 25-007 and to also return at a future meeting with a possible ballot measure to be presented in 2026 for a public vote on another ordinance increasing the salary of the Mayor and City Councilmembers. STAY TUNED!

We far surpassed the 10% threshold of 1,060 signatures in just three weeks. The signature validity rate was 91%. The ordinance (compensation increase) never went into effect and remains suspended.
