Council Repeals Ordinance 25-007
On August 20, 2025, the City Council directed staff to return with an ordinance repealing Ordinance 25-007 and to also return at a future meeting with a possible ballot measure to be presented in 2026 for a public vote on another ordinance increasing the salary of the Mayor and City Councilmembers. City Council Oders $63,000 Special Election for Vote on Pay Raise in June
Monterey County Registrar of Voters: "The rough estimate for June's election for the city of Pacific Grove is $63,000." But it's a different story in November. "The cost of Pacific Grove adding a measure to the November election, in which they have candidate contests, is negligible," the registrar said.
